Upon graduation from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England, Anne was recruited by one of the largest employment agencies in Great Britain. She spent the next seven years with the company in London, being progressively promoted in recruitment management positions.
In 1990, Anne was again recruited, this time by the Black & Whyte agency to prepare, launch, and take command of a new U.S. branch office in New York. The office opened just in time to be caught in the 1991 recession. Despite the difficult economic times, Anne was able to meet the challenge and preside over a recruiting office that was self-sufficient within two years. At this juncture, the owner was seeing a downturn in the London operation and decided to close the New York branch. Anne with 24 years in the recruitment field, 16 of them in New York, along with Marty, who had joined the company a year earlier, decided to continue the increasingly successful venture and formed The Employment Line.
Anne is married to
an attorney. She has two children and is an active member of the Society
for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
