The Employment Line Hosts its Third Human Resource Seminar

New York, New York. November 9, 2007 —The Employment Line, a leading Manhattan based staffing agency, sponsored a human resource seminar yesterday which was free to all attending human resource professionals.

This year’s seminar featured presentations by Larry Scherzer, President of Scherzer International, one of the largest personal screening organizations in the US. Mr. Scherzer ‘s insightful presentation Tips on Pre-Employment Screening, discussed risk management and suitable background checks for prospective job seekers.

A second presentation was given by Dennis Garritan, Director of NYU’s Graduate Programs in Human Resources, entitled  The Global Impact on Human Resources. Professor Garritan discussed the rising Asian economies and their impact on US human resources and the challenge they present to US corporations.

“We’re very proud to be sponsoring our third seminar to the Human Resource community. Part of our objective is to help keep others informed of what is happening in our industry,” said Al Lawrence, Manager of The Employment Line.

The company began sponsoring HR seminars in 2005. The first seminar focused on compensation and benefits.” Human Resources- The Engine of the Innovative Machine was the subject in 2006. “ Our focus is to give human resource professionals pertinent information so that they can contribute to their company’s planning process and provide innovative ideas in order to compete in an ever challenging  global market,” replied Lawrence.
