The Employment Line Awards Three NYU Graduates with a Scholarship.

New York, New York. July 2007-- The Employment Line, a leading NYC staffing agency, awarded $10,000 scholarship to three New York University graduates.

Yuka Matsudaira, along with two other teammates enrolled in NYU’s graduate program for human resource management, were the recipients. The Employment Line started this scholarship program in 2005 and for the past three years the company has been presenting $10,000 in scholarships to the best NYU students who advocate human resources management and development.

The 2007 grad team recipients were awarded the scholarship for creating a website based tool kit. ”The kit assesses whether a company has the environment to be innovative in the world of human resources and see what the company may be lacking,” said Matsudaira.

Matsudaira’s teacher, Dennis Garritan, Director of Human Resources Graduate Programs at NYU, liked the three students’ project so much that he entered the team into The Employment Line’s scholarship contest.

“We decided that we were going to start a scholarship program for NYU grad students to help with the development of human resources programs, said Anne Accini, one of the three owners of The Employment Line. “Human resource managers are looking at new ways to develop human resources. So we wanted to reward the best research programs that create innovations for human resources.”

“We really feel that human resources has been the “Cinderella department of all major organizations, bit it should be vitally important and bring more income. If we can highlight to companies the ways that human resources could have more of an emphasis on their company, then they listen,” Accini said. “Companies are not one big happy family, offering what they do next. We just hope we were able to make a difference."
